About Mrs. Smith

Art with Mrs. Smith aims to bring artistic opportunities to children and anyone else who consider themselves creatively challenged. Mrs. Smith’s goal is to provide encouragement and experiences to students, young and old, which will help them to exercise the right side of their brain and appreciate their own artistic abilities.

Tisha Smith holds an elementary teaching credential and started out as a full-time elementary school teacher. For the last 15 years Tisha has taught elementary and junior high grades throughout San Luis Obispo County. She also served as Director of Educational Services at the Performing Arts Center located on the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo campus. In 2004, Tisha started teaching art in elementary schools. Currently she has taught art to more than 2,000 students and continues to visit classrooms every school year.
